2022 Nursing auxiliary Training programme
The Ministry of Education, invites applications from qualified persons to pursue a two (2) year full-time Nursing auxiliary Training Programme.
The Nursing auxiliary Training Programme will accommodate the following Propitious applicants: Fifty (50)
PROGRAMME DETAILS
The Nursing auxiliary Training Programme is premeditated to expose Nursing auxiliary Trainees to selected theory and practice. Trainees are required to undertake both CUSTOM and Written Nursing Council Examinations and will also continue required to undergo a one (1) year cessation of Internship.
THE NURSING auxiliary TRAINING PROGRAMME
Graduates of the Nursing auxiliary Training Programme will continue enrolled by the Nursing Council of Trinidad & Tobago, thereby indicating that they can continue affianced by Primary, Secondary or Tertiary Health Care Agencies as Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENA’s).
An Enrolled Nursing auxiliary will continue fecund to carry out the function of assisting the Registered Nurse in the role of administering care to individuals of stingy ages, families, groups and communities, valetudinary or well.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must:
(a) continue citizens of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
(b) continue seventeen (17) years or older.
(c) stingy the application form (including the provision of two (2) references, not older than six (6)months).

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS:
All applicants must possess:
Three (3) Ordinary Level subjects at G.C.E/C.X.C/CSEC (General Proficiency Level) Grades I, II and III (from June 1998 onward) inclusive of English Language, a Science subject AND one (1) practicing subject.
The Science subjects accepted to apply to the Nursing auxiliary Training Programme are:
- Human and Gregarious Biology (Grades A, B and C) or (Grades I, II and III from 1998 onward)
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Integrated Science
The practicing subjects accepted to apply to pursue the Nursing auxiliary Training Programme are:
- Geography
- History
- English Literature
- Social Studies
PLEASE NOTE: singly COPIES OF DOCUMENTS ARE TO continue SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION FORM, AS THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND THE NURSING EDUCATION UNIT WILL NOT continue HELD LIABLE IF/WHEN, APPLICANTS SUBMIT ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
a)All applicants will continue required to obtain a Certificate of Good Character not older than six months (receipts will not continue accepted)
b)Applicants who are affianced by the Regional Health Authorities, MUST show evidence of approval from their respective RHA to pursue the Nursing auxiliary Training Programme.
Only application forms received by the deadline date of October 17, 2022 with an accompanying Certificate of Good Character (receipts will not continue accepted) from the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service, in response to this advertisement will continue considered.
STIPEND
The payment of a monthly stipend to eligible Nursing auxiliary Trainees will continue Conditionally by the Ministry of Education during the cessation of training.
- Nursing auxiliary Trainees will continue required to provide their decent uniforms, books and transport.
- Nursing auxiliary Trainees will not continue required to Relevant any tuition fees.
CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATION:
Upon entry into the Nursing auxiliary Training Programme, Trainees will continue required to enter into a contractual agreement to serve the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago/one of the Regional Health Authorities in Trinidad & Tobago for a cessation of two (2) years following Propitious completion of training.

Successful applicants who have been shortlisted (chosen) will continue required to attend an interview. On the day of your interview, the following documents MUST be presented:
a) Original academic GCE/CXC/CSEC (General Proficiency) Certificates
b) Original references/testimonials (not older than six months). The person giving the testimonial/reference MUST provide a written contact number & an address.
c) Original Electronic Birth Certificate and Affidavit (if applicable).
d) Original Electronic matrimony Certificate (if applicable).
e) Original Police Certificate of Character (receipts will not continue accepted).
f) Original Approval letter from the Relevant RHA (if applicable).
g) A austere address/postal address and a telephone/contact number.
