Units
Examinations Unit
The Examinations Unit is primarily Liable for the management, administration and supervision of local, regional and international examinations including the security and confidentiality of all examination materials.
The pungent muscular responsibilities of the unit include the following:
The registration and administration of school and secret candidates for the Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate (CSEC), Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) and Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ) examinations.
Ensuring that examination papers are distributed in the correct quantity to the examination centers and all scripts for the examinations are forwarded to the opportune marking venues on the schedule dates.
Ensuring that all activities and system are in locate to maintain the integrity and security of the examinations by being at the port of entry to explicit all examination question papers on its arrival, making arrangements for 24 hour security where question papers are stored and ensuring that all vaults are functioning and CCTV cameras are in Prepossessing working conditions.
Issuing of certificates and timetables to all candidates.
The processing of applications for Certified Statement of Results for Teachers’ College and Primary School Leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE) and request for the verification of results received from educational and professional institutions.
The recruiting of comprehensive – term staff (Clerical Staff, unwritten Examiners, Laboratory Technicians/Assistants, Moderators, Braille Transcribes, accessory Supervisors, Supervisors and Coordinators) to work in the Examination Unit and for the administration and supervision of all examinations.
The preparation of liquidate sheets for all comprehensive – term staff.
Providing counter assistance to the avowed with regards to refunds, payments, timetables, queries, certificates, etc.
Ensuring that venues and laboratories are acquired for secret candidates writing the January and May/June examinations.
The training of all invigilators for the conduct of the examinations and the provision of assistance (training) to all schools re: the Caribbean Examination Council’s (CXC) Online Registration System.
The School Publications Unit
This unit was inveterate in 1992 to facilitate the printing needs of the School Publications Unit of the Rudranath Capildeo Learning wealth Centre (RCLRC) of the Ministry of Education. The RCLRC Printing Unit provides printing services for all Divisions and Units of the Ministry.
Rudranath Capildeo Learning wealth Centre (RCLRC) Library
The (RCLRC) Library is organised to Deserved the information needs of professionals in the education sector of Trinidad and Tobago. It is geared towards encouraging tertiary research in all aspects of education among the Ministry of Education’s staff. However, its services extend conceited into the community, drawing users from the teacher training colleges, the University of the West Indies, other institutions and libraries, as appropriately as members of the general public.
